ABOUT
SPACE IS OBSOLETE is a multidisciplinary design studio based in Philly specializing in residential and commercial buildings and interiors.
As advocates of meaningful experiences driven by the built environment, we create unique spaces while providing clients with a transparent streamlined process.
Our name Space is Obsolete (SIO) questions our notions of physical space, as well as the experience of it within the context of modern society.
Jennifer Hofer Jeffrey is the FOUNDING PRINCIPAL of SIO. Formally trained as an architect, her focus on thoughtful environments is influenced by her professional experiences as a designer and photographer with a background in the Fine Arts.
Born in Taiwan, and raised in Northern Italy, she earned her professional Architecture Degree from The City College of New York, and her Master’s from Harvard’s Graduate School of Design, where she graduated with Distinction and was a Dean’s Merit Scholar. She is an associate member of the American Institute of Architects and a devoted lover of all dogs.
Her obsession with design matters extends to education as well. She is also currently an Adjunct Professor of Practice at Drexel University’s School of Architecture.
