A converted bi-level space situated inside a former Catholic School built in the early 1900's, then later converted into condos.
THE QV LOFT is a bi-level residence within a former Catholic school originally built in 1906 and later converted into condominiums in the early 2000s. While the space’s distinctive character and soaring 14-foot ceilings offered an immediate sense of possibility, the apartment required a thoughtful design strategy to enhance the limited natural light, improve the efficiency of the floor plan, and create a sense of calm for a couple of empty nesters and their dogs living in the heart of the city.
The final design embraces an understated palette of warm neutral tones, allowing the shifting natural light throughout the day to shape the atmosphere of the interior. The result is a quiet, restorative environment — a series of modest moments of calm situated just blocks from one of Philadelphia’s busiest neighborhoods.
